We understand that it is not always easy to take the first steps towards a healthy(er) lifestyle. Our team of lifestyle coaches will be happy to assist you with this.
You can discuss your desired goals with a lifestyle coach. Goals are often related to increasing the amount of exercise, losing weight, or building muscle mass. Our coaches help you to look wider than just sports. Why do you want to exercise more, lose weight, or build muscle mass? Are there factors that delay the chance of achieving your objectives? For example, stress at work, unhealthy eating habits or lack of sleep. To be able to fundamentally change your lifestyle, you should also work on these factors. Our lifestyle coaches guide you in this, because if we were to focus only on sports, we would only be focusing on 2-3% of someone’s time.
The Combined Lifestyle Intervention
At Plaza Sportiva you can also follow the Combined Lifestyle Intervention (CLI). The CLI is for people (members and non-members) who are overweight or obese. The program will be reimbursed by your health insurer, if: you have a BMI of more than 25, referral from your GP and you are of course motivated to change your lifestyle.
The GLI is a two-year program aimed at behavioral change to achieve and maintain healthy lifestyle. In the first part of the program, you mainly discuss what a healthy lifestyle can look like for you and how you can work on it. The second part is about maintaining your new lifestyle and how to make sure that you don’t fall back into your old patterns. You will have both: individual sessions with a lifestyle coach, as well as group meetings. In these group meetings you will find support from each other, and you can learn from each other’s experience.
